NAO-FAWK REMIX EP

Since the original single, Bad Blood came out in 2016, singer, songwriter Nao has gone onto some amazing heights proving that talent will usually find a way to rise above all the mediocrity.

Her album For All We Know has gone onto some huge acclaim; she’s toured the US (and embarking on second US tour) and she has achieved this by bringing a type of retro rnb sensibilities back to the musical limelight-it’s down-right tidy.

While we wait for a new album, she drops this ep featuring remixes of cuts from her debut album. Names like Mura Masa and that man Kaytranda among others get busy with their sublime productive self. There’s even a remix from LOXE with Stormzy on the verbals for the track Feels Like– we have not heard the track and this is probably unfair but not sure about Stormzy on the ep-top emcee but Nao&Stormzy not sure-feels like a strategic move on the part of the label more than anything else.

Curve ball aside, the first remix to be unleashed comes from SBTRKT taking Nao’s signature track Bad Blood and making it slightly darker, blessed with heavier slightly industrial beats and more influences of electronica-it slaps like a particularly rigorous BDSM session-tidy.
