Privilege and Calling
“First of all, it’s a dream come true. Second of all, it feels really good.
It feels like a privilege. It feels like a privilege because I feel like whatever thing you have to do, that ends up inspiring people around you, that ends up putting you in the limelight, is a gift that you need to step toward properly, right? So, because, I mean, you’re putting up a show for people to come in to watch and be a part of, that’s basically people giving you their attention. So for me, I consider it a gift.
I consider it a gift and I feel privileged. That’s the word. I feel privileged.”

Timeless Songs and the Gospel
“Songs that are timeless, right, often come from a place of deep understanding and deep meaning. When you listen to timeless songs, they have very good meaning, you know, to humanity, to talking about love, to talking about basically every possible human concept that you can think of, right? When they’re being sung about, or when they’re being put in songs, they have a very good meaning.
So over here, there’s like a lot of distorted idea of, you know, the Christian faith, right? And because of that distorted idea, you’re having people produce songs that have nothing to do with the gospel, right? So, the gospel simply is the truth of how a man came to die, was buried, and resurrected to cleanse our sins, right? The infection of mankind.
So, people don’t just stick to that. They add other things, like the gospel has come to make you wealthy.”
Mission and Branding
“So I’m simply here to sing the gospel in its most purest form. In my branding, right, there’s a clause. Well, I call it a clause, but it’s a statement, you know, about my mission, right? It’s simply to sing the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in the most clearest of terms, in the simplest of forms.”
God’s Nature and Human Choice
“God is not some angry man waiting to pounce on you when you do wrong. He’s ever-loving, and the issues of life on the earth today, it’s not a God thing. It’s not God that caused it.
Man has been given the ability to choose and to do as he pleases, but in choosing, we are not void of consequences, right? So just like you’re telling a child, this fire is hot, don’t put your hand in that fire. You’re telling the child that because you love the child, right? But the child has the ability to choose whether to put his hand on the fire or not. So if that child puts his hand in the fire, whose fault is it? The child.
Right. So it’s basically how God is, right? He will not force us to do what he wants us to do, right? But he would give us choices.”
Faith and Music
“It’s not the music that shapes my faith, it’s actually my faith that shapes the music.”
Worship Defined
“First of all, we’ll define what worship means to me, right? So, worship for me would mean acting, doing, or saying what pleases the Lord, right? So, in my day-to-day life, right, I would say, we try, or I try, to do what pleases the Lord. That is not the prerequisite, right, for God loving me. It’s just something we ought to do as a response to His love.”
Taking the First Step
“So, this year, I stumbled across a podcast. Again, the theme of that podcast centred around that thing that God has put in your heart. Just take the first step.
Nobody redirects a parked car. You have to be in motion. It’s an idiom. It’s an idiomatic expression. So, you can’t direct a parked car. So, I saw myself as a parked car and I needed to take the first step.
So, I met the home manager, and told him my plans. Guess what? He just told me he would support me. I’m like, what? What? And the hall had lighting, had sound, had screens. So, I wasn’t paying for anything. So, I just needed to… Ask. And I was like, okay. Then I began to rally around my friends for the event coordination. And the only thing I think I needed to pay for was cameras.”
Inspiration and Songwriting
“I think the thing that inspired me was just listening to the voice that said, just go, do it. You know, just do it.
I prayed about them. Because I play the piano, play the keyboard. So, I get to sit down and play a few chord progressions and it all makes sense. I record them.
It’s out of my understanding of God’s love, God’s forgiveness, God’s grace, that I began to write down lyrics.
I kept writing, kept writing and then I just formed choruses, formed solos, formed verses, formed pre-choruses, catchy hooks and catchy choruses and then split them into nine and gave them titles. They actually will be saying the same thing, but they are saying the same thing in different forms, different expressions.”
Faith and Life Perspective
“It changed my perspective of life generally. So, my walk with God is actually a seamless one, right? A seamless one. By seamless, I mean I’m not under pressure to perform because I’ve realized that He holds my life, right? Not so that I could give Him something in return, but just because He loves me unconditionally, right? So, that shapes my approach, you know, to anything regarding my faith.”
Deepened Connection
“So, my faith in God is not predicated on things happening, you know.
So, and that has deepened my connection over the years. I made my walk with God, again, seamless and without any pressure. I pray.”
Future Plans
“Why don’t you, like, sing? And that’s what I’m doing right now, because I feel singing comes to me naturally. So, what’s next for me going forward is to register my music, right? Promote it as far as I can.
Then, go on tours to, you know, gatherings and churches and events, and get this gospel to their ears, you know? Then, I do a lot of charity work to give to the needy, you know? Get to orphanage homes, bless them, you know, help them out. And then, there’s also, for the team that I’ve been working with, I’m going to set up a system that ensures that their royalties are given to them, you know? That the royalty talk, I mean, I ensure that at least they have something because they contributed to the project.”
